Every Wednesday 9:30 - 11:30AM
at Hidden Forest Nursery in Sebastopol

Suitable for ages 12 - 99+. (We love children - make a  special Rsvp for families with younger children.)
Rsvp required.
More than simply taking a walk, Forest Bathing is a sensory immersion in the atmosphere of nature. Originally conceived in Japan as shinrin - yoku, an antidote to stress diseases, the soothing, calming effects of mindfully ‘bathing’ in the forest have a great impact on our wellbeing and can often be felt already during the first time. Most notably among the many health benefits are a measurable boost to the immune system and lowered stress hormone levels.

The cooler, rainy holiday season is the perfect time to take a rejuvenating break in nature!

Forest bathing requires no prior experience or special gear - simply dress in warm layers and bring some water or tea to drink.

Reserve you spot today - the walks are limited to 6 participants to ensure safe physical distance. Masks required.
Rsvp and schedule your self care now!

About Forest Bathing: It's about noticing what feels good!

When we spend a little time in nature, we relax, feel more calm and happy, and can enjoy the aliveness all around us. Forest Bathing shows us a simple way to return to a natural state of peace and calm through opening the senses.

Much is being said and written about the wellness boost from time spent in nature. Among many other positive effects we can experience:
  • A pleasantly relaxed state - so important in building resilience.
  • Lowered blood pressure.
  • Reduced symptoms of depression and ADD/ADHD.
  • Potent immune boosting effects that are detectable even a week later!

During a guided walk, you are invited to connect with the nature beings around you, by listening to bird song, or touching the soft, velvety moss covering a tree branch - or perhaps you enjoy breathing and basking in the vibrant outdoors atmosphere. You are encouraged to make your own discoveries through a series of gentle, unhurried activities which engage the senses and allow the healing benefits of nature in.

Feeling good can be so simple. What I hear most often from the participants on my walks, "I wish I did this more often!".

Allow yourself to feel good.
